X reacts as Andre Onana blunder gifts Brentford lead at Man Utd
- Man Utd trailed Brentford 1-0 at half-time of Premier League clash
- Andre Onana at fault for another goal with Casemiro and Victor Lindelof both subpar
- How social media reacted to his latest error

It never rains but pours at Manchester United. And thanks to years of neglect, onlookers at Old Trafford know that when it pours, it's monsoon season.
Their saving grace on Saturday is that, physically, it was a lovely warm day. But their on-field woes continued with the visit of Brentford.
There was an innocuous start to their Premier League encounter. After all, Brentford are out-of-form too and could do with just plucking a win out of anywhere to stop the bleeding.
Aaron Hickey went close with two sighters in the early stages before the Bees did break the deadlock.
Casemiro tried to dribble through midfield but found himself swarmed by Brentford shirts and play was turned over to the visitors.
Yoane Wissa advanced into the box and seemed to throw the chance away when a loose touch was intercepted by Victor Lindelof. But the Swede inadvertently cleared the ball back on to Casemiro and into the path of Mathias Jensen.
The Dane's shot was tame and central, but it still ended up rolling over the line and hitting the back in the net, thanks in part to some rather poor goalkeeping from Andre Onana once again, slowly clambering back over and failing to keep United level.
1-0 Brentford. Onana should save that. #mufc

Oh no Onana.

Onana must have the weakest wrists in the Prem....what's he doing with his spare time?

Feel like every game I’m pointing out an Onana mistake, he needs to fix up man

Erik ten Hag showed faith in his summer signing after Onana was poor in Tuesday's loss to Galatasaray, but the Cameroonian is likely running low on good will at this point.
"He has the capabilities to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world" 🌎

This is what Erik ten Hag said about Andre Onana earlier in the week 👇#BBCFootball pic.twitter.com/Cy3TYydgal
Erik ten Hag may have signed his own exit note at Manchester United when he pushed to sign Andre Onana. Another horrible mistake from the keeper. He’s Massimo Taibi revisited. Needs to be replaced #MUFC

Lol as much as I want to laugh at Onana.. He's not even the problem, something is not just right at Man United atm. Ten Hag has questions to answer

Onana wasn't alone to blame, given that United had several chances to clear their lines before Jensen even got his shot away.
Mistakes from Casemiro and Onana hand Brentford the lead at Old Trafford.

Another howler from Onana but we shouldn't be getting to that point, beyond pathetic from Casemiro and Lindelof again.

PLS LOOK AT CASEMIRO AND LINDELOF

So how do United solve this problem? Should they give free agent David de Gea a call?
You can criticise Onana’s form without lying to yourself about De Gea btw
— Casey Evans (@Casey_Evans_) October 7, 2023
Onana is so bad that he makes Man United fans miss De Gea https://t.co/GSh4dRWHHj
— Troll Football (@TrollFootball) October 7, 2023
As bad as Onana is, don’t come here and lie say De Gea didn’t need to be upgraded.

Two things can be true.’
Just saw the goal, forget everything I said about De Gea. He should've stayed.

And yet it didn't matter in the end.
In fact, without Onana's mistake, United wouldn't have enjoyed their late comeback courtesy of a brace from Scott McTominay.
