Youssoufa Moukoko has agreed to sign a new contract at Borussia Dortmund which will make him one of the highest paid players at the club, 90min understands.

The 18-year-old's future has been up in the air for a considerable amount of time, with his current Dortmund deal due to expire at the end of the season.

The Bundesliga giants had been in negotiations with Moukoko over a new deal but had been unable to agree terms with the teenager as his representatives sought to make him one of the club's highest earners.

Barcelona, Chelsea and Newcastle had all been monitoring his situation - the latter two even made offers - in the hope they could prise him away on a free transfer and 90min revealed last week Dortmund had put forward one final offer to Moukoko in the hope he'd commit his future to the club.

Sources have now confirmed to 90min Moukoko has accepted that latest proposal, which will see earn around €10m a year including fees and bonuses.

Sporting director Sebastian Kehl confirmed in an interview with German outlet Kicker that an attractive financial package had been put to Moukoko, saying: "We have put together a very attractive offer that gives him a lot of room for development. That should lead to a decision. He has to make it with his environment and his advisor.

"Youssoufa can now accept this offer and commit to Borussia Dortmund - or we will go our separate ways. I would like him to choose us because he is not yet at the end of his development and I see potential in him. But there are limits for us as a club. And we have shown these limits. Now it's up to him to confess in a timely manner."

Moukoko became the youngest player to represent Germany at a World Cup during this winter's tournament in Qatar, while he has six goals to his name from 22 Dortmund appearances this season.
