Borussia Dortmund ensured they topped Champions League Group F, completing a second half comeback to beat Zenit St Petersburg 2-1.

After an open start, the hosts took the lead when Aleksey Sutormin's cutback was swept home by Sebastian Driussi with the help of a Mats Hummels' deflection. Zenit had the ball in the back of the net soon after courtesy of Sardar Azmoun, only for his goal to be ruled out for offside.

After the break, the home side had several more opportunities and were made to rue their missed chances when Dortmund levelled things up. The goal was scored Lukasz Piszczek, who stabbed home after a goalmouth scramble.

Axel Witsel then came back to haunt his former club, producing a wonderfully clean strike from 25-yards that sneaked past Mikhail Kerzhakov in the Zenit goal.

Here are your BVB player ratings from Russia...

Borussia Dortmund

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Marwin Hitz (GK) - 6/10 - Was kept fairly busy by Zenit's frontline, making three solid stops.

Lukasz Piszczek (CB - 7/10 - Scored a vital goal for his team, although it was not pretty.

Mats Hummels (CB) - 7/10 - Was a reliable last line of defence for his side, registering a game high five blocks and five victorious aerial duels.

Emre Can (CB) - 5/10 - Looked well off the pace. Whenever he tried to drive his team forward, a loose pass was never far away.

2. Wing Backs & Midfielders

Felix Passlack (RWB) - 5/10 - Did not offer enough in the final third. On nights like this, Dortmund seriously miss Achraf Hakimi.

Axel Witsel (CM) - 8/10 - Scored a fantastic - and important - goal against his former employers. Also showed great defensive discipline.

Jude Bellingham (CM) - 7/10 - Missed an easy opportunity just before the break. His passing was good and created a few opportunities.

Nico Schulz (LWB) - 5/10 - Clumsy in possession and struggled to contain Malcom.

3. Forwards

Thorgan Hazard (RW) - 5/10 - A quiet evening for the Belgian. Did not manage to pick up his usual dangerous positions between the lines.

Marco Reus (ST) - 7/10 - Struck the post as the first half drew to a close with a fine effort. Also whipped in some fine crosses.

Julian Brandt (LW) - 5/10 - Ineffectual. Wasteful in possession and his decision making was seriously lacking.

4. Substitutes

Youssoufa Moukoko - 5/10 - Became the youngest Champions League player of all time. Looked a bit overwhelmed by the pressure, giving the ball away twice.

Giovanni Reyna - 7/10 - Added invention to the Dortmund attack and made a vital interception with 10 minutes to play.

Jadon Sancho - 6/10 - Didn't really get in the game but put in a good shift.

Dan-Axel Zagadou - 6/10 - Got away with one clumsy piece of defending on his return from injury.
