Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov has admitted he hopes to seal a transfer to the Premier League.
As 90min first revealed in November 2023, a number of English clubs have begun tracking 21-year-old Sudakov, who recently made his 100th senior appearance and racked up ten goals and six assists in all competitions this season.
Among his many suitors are Chelsea, where fellow Ukraine international and close friend Mykhailo Mudryk struts his stuff, and Sudakov told i that he would love the chance to reunite with the winger at club level.
"I was telling Misha [Mudryk] about how much I want to play in the Premier League and how it would be great to play in the same team," he said. "Misha told me that I was not ready for the kind of pressure that happens in England and if I do come I need to be ready for that. But I am."
Alongside Chelsea, Sudakov has attracted interest from a number of top Premier League sides. Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked and Sudakov, who is valued at around £60m, is keen to head to England.
"Oh, the Premier League is my dream," he explained.
"It would be great to play there at one of the top clubs. I cannot highlight any of them as my priority, they are all famous clubs. As Pep Guardiola said, to win the Premier League is more difficult than winning the Champions League."
Putting England's elite on high alert, Sudakov concluded: "My attitude is like this - I have reached as far as I can go at Shakhtar, I have developed as much as I can as a player and I am ready to move forward. I hope to show what I can do at the Euros and then my future can be decided."
