Premier League predictions: Gameweek 32

There's barely any time for Premier League fans to catch their breath as the action resumes after a dizzying slate of midweek fixtures.

There were no slips in the title race as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all picked up wins, while Chelsea's ridiculous 4-3 triumph over Manchester United took the headlines on Thursday night in a match that provided buckets of entertainment from all possible angles.

Points are up for grabs once again this weekend, with more scripts to be written in the title race, battle for European football and relegation scrap. Here's how 90min sees Gameweek 32 playing out.

Saturday 6 April

Phil Foden stole the spotlight last time out, scoring a hat-trick against Aston Villa that powered Manchester City to a 4-1 win after the goalless draw with Arsenal. Pep Guardiola's side will go level on points with Liverpool should they best Crystal Palace, who are trundling along with just one victory in Oliver Glasner's first five games in charge.

Aston Villa's form has turned more patchy of late, managing only four points from their last four outings, and Unai Emery will want three more to enhance his team's push for fourth place when Brentford visit. The Bees' 0-0 tie with Brighton was rather uninspiring and extended their winless run to eight league fixtures.

The Sean Dyche derby sees the former defender's current outfit Everton battle Burnley at Goodison Park. The Clarets have shown some backbone in going four matches unbeaten but wins are required and they may come up short if the Toffees can harness the volatile home support.

Fulham's success in 2023/24 has been built on their home form, claiming 28 of their 39 points at Craven Cottage, and they may pick up another against a Newcastle United squad truly ravaged by injury.

Bournemouth's campaign has been defined by two strong runs, with the Cherries' latest streak seeing them win four of their last five games. Their visit to Kenilworth Road won't be an easy one, but hosts Luton Town just can't seem to get any momentum going for the run-in as they seek to avoid a bottom-three finish.

There are only three points between seventh-place West Ham United and 11th Wolves, with plenty of sides in contention for the final European qualification spot. Their battle at Molineux should provide entertainment with players like Matheus Cunha, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus on show.

Arsenal will have the opportunity to respond to Man City's result earlier on Saturday in the evening kick-off on the south coast against Brighton & Hove Albion. Mikel Arteta managed to rest some his Gunners stars in midweek and there's no room for error against the Seagulls, who pushed Liverpool close on Thursday night.

Sunday 7 April

Manchester United slipped to a new low as they went behind, came from behind and then went behind again in defeat to Chelsea. There's no respite for Erik ten Hag, who now has to plan for an encounter with title-chasing Liverpool, who have an FA Cup exit at Old Trafford to avenge.

Chelsea's poor season has been sprinkled with the odd moment of on-field jubilation as evidenced by Cole Palmer's hat-trick, but Blues fans will hope those celebrations weren't for nothing when they visit Sheffield United hoping to further cement their place in the top ten. The Blades, meanwhile, have managed only three league wins all season and will soon be mathematically relegated unless they produce a miracle over their final eight matches.

Gameweek 32 comes to an end in north London with Tottenham Hotspur hosting Nottingham Forest. Spurs harbour top-four hopes and have been largely successful in home league outings, while Forest boosted their survival prospects after a points deduction by beating Fulham 3-1.
