Premier League relegation run-in: Remaining fixtures for all teams in danger
- Several teams involved in the Premier League relegation scrap
- Sheffield United will be the first to succumb to the drop
- Everton, Nottingham Forest, Luton Town and Burnley will fight to stay in top flight
Points deductions have turned the Premier League relegation dogfight into a bit of a farce, but Everton and Nottingham Forest's respective financial misdemeanours mean the scrap is a hotly competitive one.
While Sheffield United were set up for failure almost immediately after earning promotion, fellow promoted sides Luton Town and Burnley have at least made decent fists of attempting to survive in the top flight.
With the Blades all but down already, four teams are fighting it out to avoid the two relegation spots during the final month of the season.
Here's the relegation run-ins for all clubs involved in the battle at the bottom.
Everton remaining fixtures
- Current position: 16th
- Games played: 34
- Goal difference: -12
- Points: 33
There's no doubting the controversy surrounding Everton's win over Nottingham Forest, but those three points will prove significant in their fight for survival. To back it up with their first home victory in the Merseyside derby in 14 years to derail Liverpool's title hopes was even more impressive.
The Toffees have been deducted eight points in total this term due to various financial breaches, leaving them in the mire, but Sean Dyche's side have constantly kept their heads afloat.
Recent home wins over Burnley, Forest and Liverpool were huge and, given their current eight-point advantage, it would be a huge shock if they were to drop into the bottom three again. Dyche's team still have Brentford, Luton, Sheffield Utd and Arsenal to play.

Having lost the recent 'deducted points derby', Forest are in some strife and ridiculous statements aren't going to help their cause.
Nuno Espirito Santo has failed to oversee a notable resurgence since he took over from Steve Cooper midway through the campaign, although his team does have a rather kind fixture list to end the campaign.
After taking on Manchester City, Forest face Sheffield Utd and a vulnerable Chelsea before their final day clash away at Burnley.

Luton Town remaining fixtures
- Current position: 18th
- Games played: 34
- Goal difference: -28
- Points: 25
Luton's recent battering at the hands of Brentford felt significant. The Hatters have been competitive in pretty much every Premier League fixture during their maiden bow in the competition, but they've lost their previous two games by a 10-2 aggregate score - albeit one came away at Man City.
Simply put, teams cannot lose 5-1 at home to a 15th-place Brentford at this stage of the season if they want to stay up.
Nevertheless, Rob Edwards has done a remarkable job with this Luton team and they're just a point adrift of safety. Despite their recent mauling, Edwards will view each of his side's remaining fixtures as winnable.

They couldn't, could they? Burnley have found a bit of groove, but their uptick in form may have arrived just a week or two too late.
Still, the Clarets are now just three points behind Forest in 17th and safety is realistically within their grasp.
However, Burnley have taken advantage of a rather kind schedule over the past month. Things toughen up down the stretch when Vincent Kompany takes his side to Manchester United and Tottenham for their final two away trips with a home game against Newcastle sandwiched in between.
Kompany will hope to be in the hunt on the final day as they welcome Forest to Turf Moor.

Don't fear, Blades fans, it's almost over.
2023/24 has been a campaign of misery for Sheffield Utd and their relegation could be confirmed as early as this weekend.
The Blades will return to the second tier should they lose their next Premier League game against Newcastle, having suffered a dramatic defeat at Man Utd a few days prior.
