It's becoming more and more expensive to be a football fan.

Whether it be the soaring cost of TV subscriptions or the egregious price of replica shirts, modern football is designed to exploit supporters at every opportunity. That is certainly the case when it comes to the increasing price of season tickets, especially in England's top division.

Premier League fans are made to pay dearly for their team's success, with prices generally getting higher in southern regions of the country. For many match-going supporters, it's soon to become truly unaffordable.

As was the case for the 2023/24 season, the Premier League's north London sides boast the priciest adult season tickets when it comes to the cheapest option each club provides. Arsenal lead the way by some margin, with their lowest price an eye-watering £1,073. That works out at approximately £56 per home game.

Tottenham aren't too far behind at £856 - a 6.1% increase on last year's prices. The Lilywhites are followed by their west London foes Chelsea, with fans splashing out a minimum of £810 to attend all 19 home matches. They will be hoping for better performances than they saw last season.

Liverpool (£713) and Newcastle United (£662) close out the top five, although the former has only raised prices by 2.0%. Still, two of the division's most loyal fanbases are having their wallets drained.

Given their historic achievements, one might expect Manchester United to boast a more expensive season ticket, but the cheapest option sits at £579 - providing better value for money than Bournemouth (£633) and Fulham (£619).

Only one club have reduced the price of their cheapest adult ticket and that's Everton. A 7.5% decrease means supporters can attend every Premier League match at Goodison Park for £555. Crystal Palace (£545) and Wolves (£525) are the only other teams not to raise their prices from last year.

Southampton (£479) have put up the price of their cheapest season ticket by a staggering 26.4% - far more than any other side in the Premier League. That means they are more expensive to watch than champions Manchester City, who offer an adult season ticket for as little as £425.

But the Cityzens can't match West Ham United, who provide the cheapest season ticket in the division. It may have risen by 11.3% but still sits at just £345, which is an astonishing £728 cheaper than Arsenal's least expensive offering.
