Paris Saint-Germain are aiming to return to winning ways in the Champions League as they face Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven in the French capital on Tuesday night.

Luis Enrique's side edged past Girona to open their league phase account but were brushed aside by the physically superior Arsenal last time out to leave them with three points after two matchdays.

PSG's defeat at the Emirates exposed their youth and the stage of their transition in the absence of Kylian Mbappe. They're still some way off where Enrique wants them to be, but they've continued to show plenty of positive signs domestically.

The capital club head into Tuesday's game having dispatched a good Strasbourg side 4-2 in Ligue 1 on Saturday. PSG, like PSV, lead their domestic league but the likes of Monaco and Marseille are also competing fiercely at the summit.

While the French side have a couple of blemishes on their record, PSV have been perfect in the Eredivisie after coasting to the title under Peter Bosz last season. They're nine for nine in the Dutch top flight but have mustered just a point from their opening two Champions League games.

Here is 90min's guide to PSG's Champions League bout with PSV.

Enrique shuffled his pack for PSG's 4-2 victory over Strasbourg and we should see the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes return to the starting XI on Tuesday.

Randal Kolo Muani missed Saturday's win due to an ankle sprain and the forward is doubtful for PSV's visit.

Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez and Goncalo Ramos are all long-term absentees. Marco Asensio could continue in the frontline in the absence of Ramos and Kolo Muani.

The visitors have been handed a couple of significant injury blows in recent weeks with midfielders Joey Veerman and Jerdy Schouten sustaining groin and knee complaints respectively. Veerman is out for a month, while PSV have confirmed that Schouten will not travel to Paris.

Sergino Dest and Hirving Lozano are both doubts, as is Rick Karsdorp.

Malik Tillman should come into Bosz's midfield to replace Schouten, while veteran Ivan Perisic is also in contention.

PSG vs PSV Eindhoven score prediction

Luis Enrique

PSG's defeat at Arsenal showed why they should not be considered among the favourites to win this competition. They're not there physically to compete against the very best.

PSV are an aggressive and frenetic side that could prey on PSG's vulnerabilities, but they're yet to secure a statement European win under Bosz. They've folded in these sorts of environments before, and it wouldn't be a surprise if the hosts have their way with the visitors.

Tuesday's hosts are technically superb, and Ousmane Dembele's re-integration means they're a far better team going forward. The Ligue 1 leaders should get their league phase back on track on Tuesday night.

Prediction: PSG 2-1 PSV Eindhoven
