Real Madrid are concerned that Jude Bellingham has not been fully fit at Euro 2024 and he may require surgery on a shoulder injury this summer, reports in Spain claim.

Bellingham enjoyed an almost flawless debut season with Madrid, contributing 23 goals and 13 assists as Los Blancos won the Champions League and La Liga.

He is currently with the England national team at Euro 2024 and has played a starring role in their run to the final, scoring their first goal of the group stage and then saving them from a shock last-16 elimination to Slovakia with an iconic overhead kick.

The Three Lions will face Spain in the final on Sunday after beating the Netherlands 2-1 earlier this week. At that game in Dortmund, Madrid chief scout watched over Bellingham, and AS report he was worried about his fitness levels.

Juni Calafat reckons Bellingham's physical condition is 'at its limit' and he could do with an extended rest. The 20-year-old played 3,644 minutes for Madrid last season and has started all six of England's Euro 2024 games thus far.

Relevo add that Madrid remain concerned about a shoulder problem Bellingham picked up back in November. Though they ideally do not want him to undergo surgery and miss an extended period of time, he may have to go under the knife if the injury is to fully heal again.

Should Madrid or Bellingham decide that surgery is required, he will miss two months worth of training, and he would then have to work his way back up to match fitness.

Since first suffering the injury, Bellingham has had to wear extra padding around the damaged shoulder in order to protect himself.

A decision will not be made until Bellingham's Euro 2024 campaign is over.
