An eagerly-anticipated Super Cup dawns for a Real Madrid side bolstered by a certain Kylian Mbappe.

Having missed the club's tour of the United States in the wake of Euro 2024 disappointment, Mbappe is readying himself for his Madrid bow against Atalanta in Warsaw on Wednesday.

The club's 15th Champions League success means they're back in a familiar setting to kick-off their 2024/25 campaign, with the Super Cup presenting Carlo Ancelotti's squad with a very early chance to claim some silverware off the back of a trophy-laden 2023/24.

Here's how Madrid could line up in the Polish capital for the 2024 UEFA Super Cup.

GK: Thibaut Courtois - Courtois was out in the States having made himself unavailable for Euro 2024. He'll be desperate to enjoy an injury-free campaign this time around and re-assert himself as Europe's best goalkeeper.

RB: Dani Carvajal - The Spaniard certainly has his work cut out if he's to match what was an incredible 2023/24 season. He has the chance to add another honour to his astonishing haul on Wednesday.

CB: Eder Militao - The Brazilian will be aiming to make up for lost time in 2024/25 having missed much of last season due to an ACL tear. Militao was used sparingly upon his return down the stretch but should play a bigger role this term.

CB: Antonio Rudiger - Ancelotti was forced to rely on the German heavily last season given Madrid's defensive absences, but Rudiger delivered and produced one of the best campaigns of his career.

LB: Ferland Mendy - Mendy isn't exactly being challenged fiercely by Fran Garcia, who doesn't appear to be of the requisite level, but the Frenchman nonetheless enjoyed an excellent bounce-back season last time out and heads into 2024/25 as the undisputed starter.

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni - The French international is only going to increase in importance in the wake of Toni Kroos' retirement, and a late injury to Eduardo Camavinga may force Ancelotti's hand here.

CM: Federico Valverde - Valverde enjoyed an extended break after the Copa America, but he should be involved on Wednesday having been brought back up to speed in the Spanish capital.

CM: Jude Bellingham - It'll be interesting to see how Bellingham's role evolves in 2024/25. After operating as a faux striker at times last season, the Englishman could be tasked with more of a box-to-box function given the personnel switches around him.

RW: Rodrygo - Rodrygo shone brightest in Vinicius Junior's absence last season, but he's coming under stern pressure from Arda Guler for minutes down Madrid's right. For now, the Brazilian remains the starter.

ST: Kylian Mbappe - Madridistas have been waiting years for this moment, with Mbappe set to make his Real Madrid debut in Wednesday's Super Cup. How he interacts with his fellow superstars on the pitch will be fascinating.

LW: Vinicius Junior - Vinicius is said to have rejected a monstrous Saudi offer to remain at Madrid, and the footballing world deserves to see how he'll combine with Mbappe on Wednesday night and beyond.
