Bayern Munich are not believed to be interested in a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

Alisson's long-term future at Anfield has been questioned numerous times over the past 12 months, with Liverpool making plans for his eventual departure by signing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia earlier this year.

While clubs from Saudi Arabia are keen on Alisson, rumours have suggested Bayern could move for the Brazil international as they prepare for life without the timeless Manuel Neuer, who will turn 39 next year.

Florian Plettenberg, however, has dismissed suggestions that Bayern could try to lure Alisson over from Liverpool, insisting the Reds stopper is simply not part of their plans.

Instead, Bayern are not prepared to end their association with Neuer and are looking to hand the veteran goalkeeper a new 12-month contract to carry him over until 2026.

There are still plans for Alexander Nubel to eventually succeed Neuer in the Bayern goal. The 28-year-old spent last season on loan with Stuttgart and sealed a return to the Bundesliga overachievers on a two-year loan this summer.

Nubel will return to Bayern in 2026, at which point the plan is for him to succeed Neuer.

Alisson, meanwhile, remains under contract with Liverpool until 2027, with Mamardashvili set to offer competition for his starting spot next summer.
