Jamal Musiala is set to sign a bumper new contract with Bayern Munich to end the uncertainty surrounding his future, a report has revealed.

Musiala is one of the top young players in world football and his contract situation - his current deal has just 18 months left to run - has sparked interest in a bargain transfer from most of Europe's elite.

Real Madrid and Manchester City have dominated the headlines in regards to a possible move for the 21-year-old, but both sides are set to be disappointed as the Germany international is now expected to ink fresh terms in Munich instead.

Sky Sport Germany state an overall agreement has been reached between Bayern and Musiala and all that is left is to decide the length of the new deal.

Musiala will either ink a four-year contract worth €100m (£82.8m) or a five-year contract worth €125m (£103.5m). There is also expected to be a significant signing-on bonus and agent fees which could add another €20m (£16.6m) to the total package.

Bayern officials made no secret of their desire to retain Musiala and there are even dreams of pairing him up with another of Germany's stellar young talents, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz.
