Rodrygo has vowed to pass his experience onto Estevao after the future Chelsea forward made his senior Brazil debut.

The 17-year-old came off the bench during the Selecao's 1-0 win against Ecuador in FIFA World Cup qualifying earlier this week.

Estevao has agreed to join Chelsea from Palmeiras in the summer of 2025 for a fee that could reach £51m, and his ascent to stardom has continued with this milestone for his country.

Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, though still 23, is considered one of the more senior players of the Brazil setup nowadays.

Speaking to Lance, Rodrygo revealed he will do all he can to help the nation's youngest players settle into their new surroundings.

"Regardless of age, I know I'm very young, I'm only 23, but I end up being the most experienced of the group," he said.

"You see Estevao at 17, [Luiz] Henrique at 18. So, they are very young boys, so even though I'm young, I can pass on some of this experience to them.

"And there are also older players who pass on some of this experience to me. So, I think that, in short, it's what the teacher said, about sharing responsibilities. Everyone knows their role, everyone has to take responsibility for it. And that's the way. I think that when we really manage to do it, everyone is doing well, everyone takes responsibility, we'll achieve great things."

Estevao is naturally a winger, but his agent has confirmed that Chelsea plan on using him as an attacking midfielder when he arrives at Stamford Bridge in time for the 2025/26 season.
