Rodrygo reveals stance on Premier League transfer amid Kylian Mbappe uncertainty

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has distanced himself from speculation that he could leave the club amid rumoured interest from several Premier League clubs.
Despite recording his best La Liga goalscoring season (10) to date in 2023/24 and playing a big role in Madrid's success of recent years, Rodrygo has been linked with an exit due to the widely expected summer arrival of Kylian Mbappe and the pre-arranged deal for Brazilian prodigy Endrick.
A report in Spain last month claimed Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are all interested in Rodrygo, with Paris Saint-Germain also linked with the 23-year-old.
Yet Rodrygo is far from ready to give up on his career at the Bernabeu.
"I love this club so much," he told beIN SPORTS.
"I hope my future is always here. [Carlo Ancelotti] is like a father to me."
Rodrygo was only 17 when Madrid agreed a transfer with Santos in 2018. It followed on from the club's similar capture of Vinicius Junior from Flamengo a year earlier, which saw the players signed as minors for big money and eventually make the international move to Spain upon turning 18.
Rodrygo was understandably a fringe player when he first arrived but enjoyed something of a breakout campaign in 2021/22 when he played 49 times in all competitions and scored crucial goals in Champions League knockout ties against Chelsea and Manchester City.
His on-field relationship with Vinicius has grown and grown, with the pair favoured as a pair of strikers throughout this season due to Ancelotti reshaping his team to include summer signing Jude Bellingham as a goalscoring attacking midfielder in the mould of Kaka.
Rodrygo was handed Madrid's number 11 shirt last summer after it was vacated by Marco Asensio. With Vinicius wearing 7, Mbappe is likely to get the 10 shirt if Luka Modric departs as is increasingly rumoured.
