Saudi Pro League officials are eyeing moves for Liverpool duo Luis Diaz and Joe Gomez this summer, a report has claimed.

The Reds lost both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabia last summer and are braced for more interest this time around, with winger Mohamed Salah still among the top targets drawn up by league officials.

Goalkeeper Alisson has also been earmarked for a potential switch to the Middle East and now the Daily Mail have added both Diaz and Gomez to the shortlist.

It is claimed Saudi officials are looking to change their transfer strategy this summer and will move away from signing older players in favour of younger talents still in the prime of their careers.

Diaz and Gomez, both 27, are seen as viable targets heading into a summer of real uncertainty at Anfield following the departure of Jurgen Klopp as manager.

Diaz's future has been the subject of significant speculation this year. While his contract does still have three years left to run, many claim the Colombia international is now at the point at which a decision on his continuation must be made, and Liverpool could be tempted to cash in at the right price.

Liverpool value Diaz at around £75m, reports suggest.

As for Gomez, the versatile defender was a Saudi target last summer but saw an exit blocked as Klopp wanted to keep him around for cover. He ended up making 51 appearances in all competitions, playing nearly as many minutes as he did across the previous two campaigns combined.

With three years left on his contract as well, Liverpool do not need to be forced into any unwanted decisions, although the desires of both players could play a huge role in deciding their fate this summer.
