Spain vs England: Preview, predictions and lineups
- England play Spain in the final of Euro 2024 this Sunday
- Three Lions have reached back-to-back Euros finals
- Spain looking to win the tournament for a record fourth time
England will face Spain when they contest the Euro 2024 final this Sunday and the men's team have the opportunity to win the competition for the first time in their history.
The Three Lions have already made history by reaching successive finals and will be keen to avenge their defeat to Italy at Euro 2020. Gareth Southgate's side can bring football home from the Olympiastadion this weekend.
They have been underwhelming for large parts of the tournament but have saved their best performances for key moments. England were much improved against the Netherlands in the semi-final, winning 2-1 thanks to Ollie Watkins' 90th-minute strike. They were fortunate to earn the penalty that led to their equaliser, but their spirit in Dortmund was commendable.
However, they face Euro 2024's most impressive team in the showpiece event. Spain have been largely flawless at this summer's tournament, winning all of their matches, scoring 13 times and conceding on just three occasions. Having dispatched of France and Germany in the knockout stages already, they will be confident heading to Berlin this weekend.
Luis de la Fuente's side can earn Spain a record fourth European Championship crown and recent history favours them in this fixture. Since the turn of the 21st century, La Roja have won five of the nine meetings, although the sides haven't clashed at a major tournament since Euro 1996 - England winning on penalties in the quarter-final.

Spain team news
Spain welcome back two key defenders for the final with England as Robin Le Normand and Dani Carvajal return from their one-game suspensions. They come in for Nacho Fernandez and Jesus Navas respectively, with the latter picking up a knock against France.
Elsewhere, Spain have not made any other changes from the side that beat France in the semi-final. Pedri's injury has presented an opportunity to Dani Olmo, who scored again for La Roja last time out. Lamine Yamal produced a stunning strike to become the youngest goalscorer in European Championship or World Cup history and will start on the right flank.
Alvaro Morata was a doubt for the final up top after suffering a freak injury courtesy of a security staff member following the conclusion of the semis. The forward limped off the pitch after the official slipped and collided with his knee, but he is still fit for Sunday's game.

Spain vs England score prediction
Well, here we are again. England in another major final three years on from Euro 2020 heartbreak.
Southgate's side will be feeling the pressure this weekend. They can make history in Berlin by becoming the first England men's team to win the Euros but are facing a Spanish side that have been by far the most convincing team at this summer's tournament.
England will be underdogs for this one, even if their star-studded squad means they arguably shouldn't be. They have shown glimpses of their quality since the narrow win over Slovakia in the last 16, but they may have left their renaissance a little too late.
It's difficult to envisage any team conquering Spain, who have won all of their games to date with only one going to extra time. They have beaten France, Germany, Italy and Croatia en route to the showpiece event and may well add England to their list of impressive victories.
