Paris Saint-Germain are not currently looking to sign either Bruno Fernandes or Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, despite reports suggesting otherwise, sources have told 90min.
Fernandes and Sancho were linked with moves to PSG by the French press earlier this week, with the post-Kylian Mbappe rebuild underway at Parc des Princes.
However, 90min understands that while PSG and United are in dialogue over transfers, they are mainly discussing a possible deal to send Manuel Ugarte to Old Trafford.
During these talks, PSG loosely asked United about Fernandes, Sancho and long-term target Marcus Rashford to understand their respective situations, but haven't advanced anything on these fronts.
In the case of club captain Fernandes, PSG have been made aware of his importance to INEOS' new sporting project and they do not want to waste their time on what would likely prove to be a fruitless pursuit.
Fernandes did hold talks with United, as well as other clubs, earlier this year prior to manager Erik ten Hag's contract extension to assess his options. But he is now satisfied with the direction United are going in and has been impressed by INEOS' impact behind the scenes and in the transfer market.
Sancho has been reintegrated into the Red Devils' first-team setup following clear-the-air talks with Ten Hag, though he could still be sold, in part to finance United's other summer business.
Though PSG are admirers of Fernandes and Sancho, they are prioritising moves for other targets this summer, including Rennes winger Desire Doue, Benfica midfielder Joao Neves and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Meanwhile, PSG sources claim they have rejected multiple verbal offers totalling no more than €45m from United for Ugarte, though those on the Red Devils' side have denied making any bids yet.
PSG ideally would like to make a profit on Ugarte having signed him from Sporting CP for €60m last summer and could even hold out for as high as €70m.
