Tottenham hold talks over signing midfield duo in big show of faith to Ange Postecoglou
- Tottenham suffered their 13th league defeat of the season against Leicester on Sunday
- Ange Postecoglou admitted that his future is in doubt
- Spurs are plotting multiple signings to bolster the injury-ravaged squad
Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly attempt to strengthen Ange Postecoglou's injury-ravaged squad before the January transfer window closes, while also negotiating deals for the summer.
The north London outfit slumped to a dismal 2-1 defeat at home to Leicester City on Sunday afternoon, the club's 13th loss of the Premier League season - more than they suffered throughout the entirety of the previous campaign.
Postecoglou admitted that his future as manager was uncertain in the aftermath of the defeat, but initial reports suggest that Tottenham will stick with the former Celtic boss.
The Telegraph claim that Spurs are trying to bolster Postecoglou's depleted squad with new recruits this month while also preparing deals for next summer to prevent another stagnant transfer window.
Tottenham are thought to have held talks regarding a move for Southampton forward Tyler Dibling, who is said to be a target for "half of Europe", but may be forced to defer a deal until the season's conclusion.

Lille midfielder Angel Gomes is listed as another Tottenham target. The England international is in the final six months of his contract and can sign an agreement with Spurs (or any other non-French team) ahead of a move at the end of the season.
The report adds that Tottenham are also keen on bringing in another outfield option yet have found the January market to be "extremely challenging".
Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson has been put forward as another option, but The Athletic report that West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton are also sniffing around the Republic of Ireland international.
Postecoglou has publicly declared that the squad "needs help" in the transfer market and claimed that a lack of outfield arrivals would be "playing with fire".
