Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to put a frustrating start to their 2024/25 Premier League campaign behind them on Saturday when they face Everton.

The Lilywhites travelled to Leicester City for their season opener but only came away with a point from the King Power Stadium despite dominating large periods of the game. Claiming victory against Everton this weekend is of paramount importance following a disheartening 1-1 draw in the Midlands.

Everton made an even more discouraging start to their season when welcoming Brighton & Hove Albion to Goodison Park last weekend. The Toffees were torn apart in a 3-0 defeat to Fabian Hurzeler's new-look team, an ominous sign for what could be in store this term.

Here is 90min's guide to an intriguing clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham suffered a few injuries in the draw with Leicester on Monday night, including a worrying head injury to midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur. Given the nature and severity of the issue, it seems extremely unlikely that the Uruguayan will feature this weekend.

Dominic Solanke has been ruled out of matchday contention with an ankle problem which has flared up in recent days, but Pedro Porro is fit despite coming off late with a similar injury having scored in the first half.

Yves Bissouma is available again after being suspended by the club for the Leicester clash.

Everton had a number of fitness issues prior to their defeat to Brighton and things haven't eased up since. In fact, Ashley Young has added his name to the list of absentees following his red card against the Seagulls.

Jarrad Branthwaite, Nathan Patterson and Seamus Coleman are all expected to miss out in defence, while James Garner's calf injury means he's almost certain to be sidelined for the trip to north London.

After a positive pre-season, Youssef Chermiti suffered a potentially long-term injury in early August. He's not expected back any time soon according to Everton boss Sean Dyche.

Tottenham vs Everton score prediction

Tottenham should put their disappointing draw against Leicester behind them this Saturday, with Everton the perfect guests for Ange Postecoglou's side in north London. The Toffees' defensive injuries and attacking deficiencies should spell a comfortable win for the Lilywhites.

Of course, the Premier League has the ability to spring a surprise, as Spurs found out the hard way on Monday evening. But they should have no issues outscoring an Everton side still finding its feet in the final third.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Everton
