Trent Alexander-Arnold has confessed he is focused on building a "legacy" as he prepares to make a huge decision on his Liverpool future.
Like Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, Alexander-Arnold is approaching the final six months of his current contract. However, while there is growing optimism about Liverpool's ability to return Van Dijk and Salah, the future of their right-back remains up in the air, with Real Madrid said to have "seduced" Alexander-Arnold ahead of a possible free transfer.
Alexander-Arnold features on a huge mural outside Anfield alongside a quote which reads: "I'm just a normal lad from Liverpool whose dream has just come true."
Quizzed by Men in Blazers on the next dreams he has set for himself, Alexander-Arnold responded: "Of course, winning more trophies. But on a personal level it is building a legacy. That is something that is important.
"Just being spoken about in the highest regard, especially after you've finished [playing]. In ten or 15 years, if I'm spoken about as one of the best right-backs or the best right-back, then that's what I'm playing for now and using it as motivation."
Liverpool have made an opening contract offer to Alexander-Arnold, who dropped a huge hint on his future by admitting his excitement towards being part of Arne Slot's project at Anfield.
However, the uncertain nature of the situation has left Liverpool exploring possible replacements for Alexander-Arnold. There have been significant links to Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong, but Slot is not believed to be interested in a deal for the attack-minded Dutchman.
