After snapping their four-game winless run with a win at Arsenal, West Ham are aiming to build some momentum when they host the struggling Leicester on Thursday night.

It hasn't been the most productive of starts to life in east London for Graham Potter, but last Saturday's victory was a testament to sound coaching with the Hammers executing their plan perfectly to nullify the Gunners.

West Ham are still down in 16th, but the win in north London eased fears that they'll be getting dragged into the relegation scrap.

Leicester, on the contrary, are right in the mire. Respite for the Foxes has been scarce upon their return to the top flight, and relegation seems inevitable.

They were woeful on Friday night at Brentford, losing 4-0 at home, and have lost three straight after coming from behind to win at Tottenham last month. Ruud van Nistelrooy's indifferent managerial stint started with a 3-1 victory over the Hammers in December.

Here is 90min's guide to Thursday's Premier League clash.

Lucas Paqueta is set to miss out again due to an ankle injury, while Vladimir Coufal is close to making a comeback but won't be ready for Thursday.

Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio remain out for the home side.

West Ham vs Leicester score prediction

Leicester claimed a rare victory in the reverse fixture, but it was a contest the Foxes had no right winning. West Ham created chance after chance, and the Hammers should have plenty of joy against Van Nistelrooy's porous defensive structure on Thursday.

Ferguson's inclusion in the XI offers an alternate dynamic for the hosts and should open the door for their playmakers to thrive.

The visitors are bad, and this may well be the end of Van Nistelrooy.

Prediction: West Ham 2-0 Leicester
