The world's oldest cup competition is in full flow as the 2024/25 campaign edges closer to its conclusion.

The FA Cup opened its doors in early August as minnows across the country locked horns, starting with 221 fixtures in the extra preliminary qualifying round. Come the fifth round, just eight matches will be played as the prospect of glory creeps into view.

There has been plenty of high-octane drama already across this year's competition and it's only likely to increase as the stakes are raised. Entrants into the fifth round know they are just two matches away from a Wembley appearance and three from the showpiece event.

The draw for the fifth round will undoubtedly have supporters twitching with excitement, so here's everything you need to know before the balls are drawn.
