Wolves vs West Ham: Preview, predictions and lineups
- West Ham travel to the West Midlands on Tuesday night
- Wolves took a big step towards safety before the international break
- Hammers eight points clear of upcoming opponents in Premier League table

16th meets 17th in the Premier League on Tuesday night as West Ham travel to the West Midlands to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Despite their close proximity in the table, eight points separate these two sides heading into their upcoming tussle. West Ham are all but safe, having amassed 34 points with nine games to go, while Wolves, after winning at Southampton before the break, took a big step towards safety.
Joao Pereira's side are nine points clear of the drop zone. While Wolves owe much to the poor levels of the three newly promoted outfits, Pereira has also done a fine job of guiding Wolves out of the mire after Gary O'Neil's reign concluded in December. A 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture proved to be one of the final nails in the former manager's coffin.
Both teams are expected to be fresh for Tuesday's bout given that neither were involved in the FA Cup quarter-finals at the weekend. West Ham exited at the first possible opportunity in Graham Potter's first game in charge, while Wolves were beaten at Bournemouth on penalties in the fifth round.

Wolves team news
Wolves won without talisman Matheus Cunha at Southampton two weeks ago, and the Brazilian, who recently commented on his desire to move on this summer, is suspended for two more games as a result of the red card he picked up at Bournemouth in the FA Cup.
Marshall Munetsi has shown early promise after joining the club in January, and he'll likely be a part of Wolves' Cunha-less front three with Jorgen Strand Larsen and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.
Enso Gonzalez, Leon Chiwome, Yerson Mosquera and Sasa Kalajdzic all remain out injured for the hosts.

West Ham team news
There hasn't been much change on the injury front for West Ham, who are still without strikers Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug.
Loan addition Evan Ferguson has struggled for minutes at the start of his Hammers' career, with Potter preferring to utilise Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen as a strike partnership in recent outings.
Crysencio Summerville also remains sidelined for the visitors, but Vladimir Coufal is expected to make the matchday squad.

Wolves vs West Ham score prediction
West Ham have hardly set the world alight under Potter, but they've got a great chance of claiming three points on the road in midweek.
Wolves survived without star man Cunha before the break, but West Ham's sound defensive block could keep them at bay in the West Midlands. The visitors have been vastly improved away from home under the new manager, with Kudus and Bowen's combination up top proving effective in transition.
The Hammers won at the Emirates in February and came close to ending Everton's unbeaten run under David Moyes two weeks ago. They're poised to prevail on Tuesday night.
Prediction: Wolves 0-1 West Ham
